Have you felt any subtle shifts lately in any area of your life in the past few weeks?  Or did you get a feeling that an area of your life has to change in some significant way.  This area (or one of the 12 houses in your natal chart) could be your relationship to yourself, your money, your siblings or neighbors, your parents or home, your kids or creativity, your daily health routine and diet, your relationship with your spouse or any other contractual relationships, retirement planning, higher education, religion, career, and organizations.  Or did you begin to realize that you want to completely change and transform yourself on a deep spiritual level and let go of your fears and burdensome secrets?

On January 20, 2024, Pluto, a planet of transformation, death, and rebirth, entered the sign of Aquarius.  You may have experienced a preview of this transit between the last week of March 2023 and the first week of June 2023.  What was it like for you around that time? Due to the elliptical orb of Pluto, it does not stay in each sign for the same amount of time.  While it was in Capricorn for about 15 years, it will spend 20 years in Aquarius.

Aquarius is a futuristic looking sign.  It is about collective, technological advances, alternative medicine, astrology, and even art.  Pluto adds an investigative and transformative nature, in its transit.  It is possible that we will undergo many technological breakthroughs, such as what we have already seen in Artificial Intelligence. Alternative medicine and astrology may come forward and establish a more prominent presence in the world.  We could also reveal the addictive side of technology or use it to develop healing in connection with our mental and physical health.  A new Picasso could be “born” through the AI art.  We shall see.

Pluto transits are feared by many.  However, they are not there to destroy us.  Yes, it is true that Pluto does not take any prisoners.  However, with this planet transiting an area of our natal chart a very deep and profound transformation is taking place.  Pluto is there for our psychological growth (just like Saturn is there for our maturity and discipline).  Pluto tends to dig deep and unearth what is hidden.  It tends to bring out the most authentic version of ourselves.  However, to do that, we must drop all pretenses and become true to who we are.  Pluto transits are most impactful for us, when they are directly aspecting planets in our chart, by a degree.  During its transit, Pluto could bring up issues of power struggle and control, where we are either controlling others or giving away our power willingly.

As someone who has gone through a profound Pluto transformation since 2008, I have to say it was not easy.  Pluto squared itself, my Moon, bulldozed over my Mars, Mercury, and Sun, among other things.  Phew.  I still feel exhausted just thinking about it…  However, looking at myself in 2008 and now in 2024, I prefer the newer and more authentic version of the present.  Over the past few years, I developed my art skills, went to school to become an astrologer, became a mother and a teacher, and much more. I also witnessed toxic corporate cultures, power struggles over control within the corporations. Change and transformation are not easy.  However, they are essential to our spiritual evolution.  I would not have had it any other way.

During 2024 Pluto will hover around 0-2 degrees of Aquarius with a brief, and final, dip into Capricorn from September through November 2024 (29 degrees Capricorn). Where do these degrees fall in your chart?

March 2024 Transits

Astrological weather of March seems to be overall rather pleasant.  There are mostly some easy flowing aspects than blocks in the road.  Transits described below may feel more impactful if you have personal planets at the listed degrees (plus or minus a couple of degrees) in your natal chart.  You can obtain a free copy of your natal chart from astro-seek.com.

March 3: Venus squares Uranus (19 degrees Aquarius/ Taurus) – Around this day some emotional tension may come up and unexpected changes in relationships, money or what is valued. It could also manifest as one wanting to do the opposite of what is expected of them.  Exercise or creative activities could provide some release.

March 4: Mercury sextile Uranus (19 degrees Pisces/ Taurus) – This day could be good for original thinking, studying astrology or other esoteric disciplines, creative problem solving, working with technology.  You may feel some over-excitement or nervous tension, but all is manageable.

March 8: Mercury conjunct Neptune (25 degrees Pisces) – This is a great day for creative activities.  Inspiration may strike, so, have your camera ready.  This is not a good day for critical thinking or work that requires precise calculations as important facts may be mis-interpreted or missed.

March 9-10 (Energetically charged a couple of days): Mercury sextile Pluto (1 degree Aries/ Aquarius) – This is a good day to figure out solutions to a problem.  Mercury’s attention to detail and Pluto’s detective skills will come handy to understand the root cause of the issue.

Mars square Uranus (19 degrees Aquarius/ Taurus)-This transit could be marked by tension and frustration due to unplanned and unexpected events.  You may also feel stressed out.  It would help to do some exercise or find another outlet to repurpose pent up energy. Areas of frustration are your Aquarius and Taurus houses.

March 21-22:  Venus conjunct Saturn (12 degrees Pisces)- During these two days you may feel more serious than usual, especially in the area of friends, money and what is valuable to you.  Sun will form a sextile with Pluto the same day (0 degrees Aries/ Aquarius), so, this could be good time for clearing out what no longer is needed in your space.  This could include preparing items for charity or processing out any psychological issues. Spring cleaning!

March 24-25:  Venus sextile Jupiter (15 degrees Pisces/ Taurus) – These are good days energetically to socialize, do something artistic or write.  Be mindful of overindulgence on sweets and rich foods.  Otherwise, should be good couple of days.

March 28:  Venus sextile Uranus (20 degrees Pisces/ Taurus) – Generally a fun day with eccentric and unexpected social activities and interactions. Art, music, and design are all favored.
