For this month’s discussion, I would like to take a wholistic view of the Year 2025 and what it has to offer.  This is going to be a year full of shifts in perspectives on a number of levels (houses).   There are several big planets that will change signs (and houses) during the year, which is rather unusual.  These big hitters are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.  Why would big planet sign changes be noticeable?  Unlike Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars that go through numerous zodiac signs during the year, big planets change signs infrequently, from once a year to once every few decades (like Pluto).  Their work in each sign is to enable our personal growth, which takes time and often is not easy.  Having four planets changing signs during the year means that they are ready to address other topics in our life, depending on the house, where growth and development is long overdue.

Neptune moves into Aries on March 31, 2025, to stay until March 2039.  It has been traveling through Pisces, house of its rulership, since April 2011. This transit will be most impactful to your Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn houses.  Neptune tends to bring disillusionment to the house where it transits.  However, this happens primarily if we focus on material aspects of life in that house.  Neptune’s lesson for us is to trust our intuition, seek spiritual experiences and deeper connections with others (beyond labels and social statuses), embracing humanity and relationships in our lives as they are, be more compassionate and forgiving towards others.  Neptune supports charity work, meditation practices, spiritual undertakings, music and creativity.  One of the challenges of Neptune passing through Aries is the individualistic nature of the sign.  This is the house where we tend to focus on ourselves more than others and support our individual egos rather than seeing and supporting a larger vision.  During Neptunian transit, I think, the key will be to find a balance between supporting our own agendas while benefiting others.  This will farther depend on the topics of the house where you have Aries. On the bigger scale, this transit could give encouragement to some delusional thinking that someone may decide to resolve using weapons.  A good manifestation of this transit would be people becoming braver in their creative expression, sharing their philosophy on life with others, and not fearing offering a helping hand to someone who may really need it.

Uranus will finally leave Taurus on July 9, 2025, and move into Gemini to stay until May of 2033.  It has been a rollercoaster for a few years for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.  A phrase comes to mind from James Bond movies – “shaken, not stirred”.  Yes, this is exactly what Uranus brought to the fixed sign houses, especially Taurus rising, for the past several years, since May of 2018.  This transit has been harder for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius houses in your chart as these are fixed signs and do not do well with change or surprises, good or bad.  However, Uranus transit is usually liberating for us and allows us to become more authentic and original as it wraps up.  We also tend to go with the flow much easier because of the Uranian bootcamp.  I think transit of Uranus through Gemini with impact on Virgo, Pisces, and Sagittarius, may be a little easier as these signs are mutable by nature and have room for more flexibility than the fixed signs (i.e. tend to go with the flow). Uranus transit through Gemini house in your chart may manifest as original ideas and out of the box thinking and approach in connection with the topics of the house. This, in turn, could impact the topics of the opposite house in your chart, which is in Sagittarius, and bring some friction to your Pisces and Virgo houses. However, Uranus tends to liberate us from the restrictions by throwing surprise after surprise our way, when we refuse to change. On the bigger scale, this transit may create unusual ways of communicating, curiosity about esoteric topics and alternative medicine as well as technological, commerce, and transportational advances.  However, as Gemini rules communication and ideas, it is not much for pulling people together.  So, it may bring more societal fragmentation in the next few years.  We will see.

Saturn will move from Pisces into Aries on May 26, 2025, to stay until April 2028, with a brief digression back into Pisces from September 2025 through February 2026, due to retrograde. Saturn is usually a feared transit by many, unless you do what Saturn asks of you, which is maturity, hard work and self-discipline.  If you have demonstrated these in the house/ area of your life where Saturn transits, instead of limitation and adverse consequences, Saturn tends to reward you with some type of “promotion” and gifting you things (tangible or intangible) that will withstand the test of time, such as recognition at work or well-build home, for example.  Saturn through Aries is an interesting combination.  On one hand, Saturn tends to be very cautious and makes us act only after we have a solid (and detailed) plan in place.  On the other hand, Aries is more jump first, think later, type of approach to life.  Aries individuals are rather brave and instead of tried and true, they often chose path less traveled.  One of the ways I see this transit manifesting is through possibly overcoming our fears through hard work and education, associated with the area of our life/ house, where Aries is on the cusp.  It could also be that Saturn could help us become more athletic or take up martial arts to build stamina.  Of course, this could also go the other way and someone who does not think much before acting, may become more strategic and thoughtful in their approach (hopefully, not through the “series of the unfortunate events”).  On a bigger scale, I think, this transit may manifest as some type of restriction by governments on military actions or stricter regulations on sales of firearms. Or, it could create a restrictive regulation impacting small businesses/ entrepreneurs. Time will show.

Jupiter will leave Gemini and move into the sign of Cancer on June 10, 2025, to stay until July 1, 2026. Jupiter has been touring Gemini since May of 2024 and amplifying topics of this house in your chart.  I know many astrologers describe Jupiter as a planet of luck.  To me, it is more about expansion, enlightenment, and beneficial interventions. For example, if someone has a challenging aspect (planetary combination) in their chart, it may aggravate it and make things bigger than they are, and not in a good way.  Same goes for a positive aspect.  This is what I call when you “get lucky” and win some type of contest.  Sign of Cancer, represents family, home, and foundations.  This sign could be on the cusp of any of our twelve houses.  It basically shows where you need to feel family environment or where you may treat others as a caring mother.  As Jupiter transits the sign of Cancer, you may go through the expansion of the topics of the house where it passes through. If there were problems outstanding in that house, these may receive positive intervention and get resolved.  Also, your group of friends may increase, you may renovate your home, your family circle could expand through birth or marriage, among a few things.  So, pay attention to what gifts you receive from mid-2025 through mid-2026.  😊 On the bigger scale, this transit could manifest as increased housing needs, increased birth rates, improved family laws, more people beginning to focus on self-care and healthy home-made foods.  I personally would love to see some significant improvement in the restaurant industry.  It would be great to have more restaurants where there is honest cooking involved to truly nourish our bodies and not have hidden bacteria, chemicals, sodium, etc. added to what we consume, just to add to the corporate bottom line through cutting the corners.  Perhaps, this is more likely to happen when Saturn transits the sign of Cancer? Maybe.

With all the big transits this year, we should not forget about eclipses!  Eclipses in 2025 are transitioning from our Aries/ Libra houses where they were for the past 18 months into our Pisces/ Virgo houses.  Eclipses take 6 months or so to manifest.  Lunar eclipses tend to take things out of our life, whether we are ready for it or not, while solar eclipses bring something new.  If you have personal planets, your Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, Sun, Moon, Mercury, or Mars within 3 degrees of eclipse, these will be more impactful for you than for others.   There will be four eclipses in 2025.  First, a lunar eclipse will take place on March 14, 2025, at 23 degrees Virgo, followed by solar eclipse on March 29, 2025, at 9 degrees Aries.    The remaining two eclipses will take place on September 7, 2025, at 15 degrees Pisces and September 21 at 29 degrees Virgo.  Where do you have Virgo and Pisces houses in your chart?  This is where change will happen for the next 18 months.

Here is a brief reminder of the houses:  1st (Ascendant, self, appearance, vitality), 2nd (earned income), 3rd (siblings, neighbors, short distance travel, communication), 4th (parents and ancestors, real estate), 5th (children, creativity, fun activities, dating, sports), 6th (health, daily chores, pets, work, subordinates), 7th (spouse, committed relationships, contracts), 8th (investments, shared income, taxes), 9th (long distance travel, higher education, law), 10th (career), 11th (organizations and friends), and 12th (house of seclusion, hospitals, working behind the closed door).

February 2025 Transits

February overall looks like a much lighter month than January.  Transits described below may feel more impactful if you have personal planets, Ascendant, Midheaven, or Descendent at the listed degrees (plus or minus a couple of degrees) in your natal chart.  You can obtain a free copy of your natal chart from astro-seek.com.

February 1-2: Venus conjuncts Neptune (27 degrees Pisces) -This transit could be marked by romantic and idealistic attitude towards money, values, art, and relationships.  You may also feel some increased fondness for animals. So, during this transit you may decide to purchase some artwork or adopt a pet.  You may also wish to visit an art gallery or a concert.  Both planets, Venus and Neptune, rule over creativity and are meeting in an emotional and compassionate sign of Pisces. If anything, simply enjoy a good day with some favorite food and drink. Overindulgence and overspending are possible.

February 3:  Mercury trines Jupiter (11 degrees Aquarius and Gemini) – Your thinking maybe focused on larger issues in your life.  You may also feel that your hopes and wishes are more important today than daily mundane tasks. Overall, you will have a positive outlook on life.  This is also a favorable day for business transactions, contract negotiations or legal matters.  Spend some time traveling today, if you can. You may enjoy it. 😊

February 6-8:  Venus sextiles Pluto (1 degree Aries and Aquarius) –  During these few days you may perceive your relationships as more intense.  You may also begin to see your relationships from another perspective, which could be for the best.  New relationships starting under this transit are likely to be intense; but this is rather good in the long run.  If you are a poet, musician or an artist, your work under this transit could demonstrate some emotional depth and be rather good.

February 6-12: Mars trines Saturn (18 degrees Cancer and Pisces) –  This is a great transit to plan and execute challenging projects.  Saturn provides us with clear practical thinking and planning and Mars gives us some stamina to complete the work. Saturnian discipline and practicality will also help you to avoid intense arguments and forsake ego for sensibility.

February 8-10: Sun conjuncts Mercury (18 degrees Aquarius) – This is a good transit to have an opportunity to make your point, especially in the areas of life where you have Gemini and Virgo.  You may also be inclined to do more than routine paperwork, start a new business venture or simply make plans to improve your current situation in life.

February 10:  Mercury squares Uranus (23 degrees Aquarius and Taurus) – This could be a stimulating transit with insightful ideas coming out of the blue. Take advantage of this, write these ideas down for later contemplation.  Also, go with the flow these couple of days, as Uranus likes us to explore unexpected routes and change our approach to old-worn out ones.  Be curious about the world around you. Mind your driving and control your impulses to avoid an accident.  Also, this could be a good day to take a few minutes and ground yourself throughout the day.

February 11-12:  Sun squares Uranus (23 degrees Aquarius and Taurus) – There could be some disruptions during this transit.  Work with the energy of Uranus today, which tends to disrupt, and change your routine.  You will be happy you have done this.  Going with the flow is good for us. 😊 This transit may bring some disagreements as well. Under Uranian influence we usually want to march to the beat of our own drum, especially in aspects with the Sun, which could rub some people the wrong way.  This is only a transit.

February 20: Mercury squares Jupiter (11 degrees Pisces and Gemini) – This is an optimistic transit overall.  If you exercise some care, it is great for a variety of contractual negotiations. However, Jupiter may make us feel overoptimistic about our outcomes and gloss over small details.  So, proceed with caution.  Also, when communicating with others, Jupiter may make us come across as boastful or arrogant. So, just tone it down a bit.  Otherwise, it is a good transit for a variety of things.

February 23:  Mercury trines Mars (17 degrees Pisces and Cancer) -During this transit you may put a lot of effort into working on a project that is interesting to you.  However, this is a great day to work on your own rather than as a team.  You may also enjoy some lively discussions or a debate on this day as this transit will show a milder side of Mars.

February 25: Mercury conjuncts Saturn (19 degrees Pisces)  – Saturn tends to give us a somber state of mind and you may feel rather cautious and need to be by yourself during this transit. Saturnian pessimism may make you think of the existing situations worse than they are.  Your communication may be impacted as well as you may feel less outgoing and not wanting to freely express your point of view.  You may also be overly critical of others.  Your pessimistic mood brought by this transit will lighten up in a day or two.  Meanwhile, do some mundane administrative tasks to occupy yourself and to take your mind off things.

February 27: Mercury sextiles Uranus (23 degrees Pisces and Taurus) – This day could be good for original thinking, study of astrology or other esoteric disciplines, creative problem solving, working with technology.  You may feel some overexcitement or nervous tension, but all is manageable.
